Check-in to the Kyyhkylä Manor

Kyyhkylä Manor is a historically significant manor house in beautiful surroundings on the shores of Lake Saimaa. Kyyhkylä offers tasty, local food and beautiful lakeside views and different nature activities.

9:30 Lobby call and transfer to the Neitvuori Hill (approx. 45 min drive)

A guided hike up the Neitvuori Hill. 

The highest spot in the region, Neitvuori Hill offers magnificent views of Lake Saimaa archipelago. The hike up the hill is c. 2-4 km. This is the perfect spot to admire the turning colours of our pure nature. 

12:30 Transfer to the Sahanlahti Resort along the picturesque archipelago 62 route (approx. 50 min drive)

Check-in

Sahanlahti Resort is a family-run business based on an old watermill. Steeped in history and extremely atmospheric, Sahanlahti brings you the best lakeside views, authentic, fresh Saimaa cuisine and a welcoming family atmosphere. Sahanlahti has several different types of accommodation ranging from luxury villas to individual cabins and hotel rooms.

14:30 Transfer and lunch at the Pistohiekka Resort (approx. 5 min drive)

Pistohiekka is one of the finest beach resorts at the shores of Lake Saimaa. Come and enjoy magnificent nature and great architecture in the middle of Lake Saimaa labyrinth archipelago!

Pistohiekka is part of Saimaa UNESCO Global Geopark with many attractions nearby waiting for you to explore them. The surrounding nature is uniquely beautiful and there is a lot of things to do for days - or weeks! You can go hiking, kayaking, cycling, fishing or sailing. But, of course, there is nothing wrong with just relaxing on the beach and enjoying the scenery.

20:00 Dinner at the Restaurant Koskivahti at the Sahanlahti Resort

Food based on high-quality, fresh and local products and the dedication to ethical and responsible farming are the cornerstones of Sahanlahti dining. All of this and the skill of people growing and preparing your food can be clearly tasted on your plate when dining at the atmospheric restaurants of the resort. The restaurant is a five-star D.O. Saimaa "We Support" restaurant and Koskivahti has been voted to have the most beautiful terrace view in Finland.

The picturesque fishing village of Oravi is located between two National Parks – Linnansaari and Kolovesi. Linnansaari is the main habitat for the world’s most endangered freshwater seal, Saimaa Ringed Seal. Only just under 500 individuals existing today, this curious creature is beloved by locals and visitors alike. 

11:00 Guided boat trip in the Linnansaari National Park, foraging and lunch

Linnansaari, in the heart of the Finnish Lake District, is an ideal place to spot rare lake seals and majestic ospreys. The waters of the park are dotted with lush green islands and rocky islets. At Linnansaari Croft traditional slash-and-burn farming practices are preserved. The lakeland scenery is a delight all year round.

19:00 Dinner at the Restaurant Ruukinranta at the Oravi Village

Restaurant Ruukinranta is located in the former iron factory area and reflects the local history with the name (Ruukinranta = Ruukki Beach). 

Our specials include local fish (vendace, perch, pike and pike-perch) in different ways, local elk and warm bread from our own bakery. The large sun terrace is perfect for watching boats go by and enjoying our famous elk pizzas with cold drinks!

Woikoski Feeling offers experiential restaurant, meeting and accommodation services at at Kirjokivi Manor in Vuohijärvi and WHD Gård resort in Nurmaa. Both of our destinations are located in the vicinity of the Repovesi National Park.
